Firstly the solar systems that use thermal solar energy combined with an intelligent control system that makes the installation very energy efficient. This kind of installation is controlled by a high efficiency solar gas water heater. The combination of condensing high efficiency with thermal solar energy integrated in one solution minimizes the gas consumption of the installation.
A.O. Smith also provides installations for smaller applications in the configuration of indirect solar systems. These solar systems consist of an indirect tank which is connected to an already existing central heating system or boiler.

A.O. Smith develops and delivers products and services throughout Europe. The market requests for a display that can show the solar contribution of the installation in the building in a public area. Therefore we developed an A.O. Smith Remote Display to connect to your solar system. This feature displays the temperature in the collector and the actual solar contribution of your system.
Of course this product is applicable in many more situations and countries. A solar system is not often placed in plain sight. With use of this product, everyone that enters your building can see that you are using solar thermal energy.
Display for A.O. Smith SGE/SGS solar application
On the Remote display for this application there are 4 views; the temperatures in the sensors, the status of the pump, the contribution in Joules and a summary of all these.
In order to use the Remote display you will have to install a QT sensor. This sensor measures the flow in liters per minute and the temperature of the water. The contribution can be calculated very exactly with use of these measurements.
If you only want to read the measurements on the display of the SGE/SGS, you also need to install a Q/T sensor.
