Presse Release
La Gaude, June 24, 2024 Following the acquisition of the German company .HESS
last December, the GROUPE RAGNI, a French expert in public lighting and connected technologies, continues its external growth and announces the acquisition of a sixth brand: The Lyon-based company LEC, an iconic firm specializing in urban lighting (architectural, public buildings, pathways, tunnels,
marking, handrails, etc.) using LED technology since 1977.
With a projected revenue of 150 million euros for the year 2024, the GROUPE RAGNI is in full expansion. This new acquisition is part of the group's strategic vision to strengthen its expertise and,
more broadly, to consolidate its position among the French leaders in the sector.
A MADE IN FRANCE HERITAGE AND COMPLEMENTARY EXPERTISE
With over 40 years of experience, LEC has been a pioneer in the use of LEDs for light signaling,
promoting sustainable, low-maintenance solutions. From the Cour d'Honneur of the Palais Royal in
Paris to the balustrades of Dublin's bridges, LEC's equipment has illuminated prestigious projects worldwide, becoming testimonials to their longevity and quality.
This acquisition reaffirms the GROUPE RAGNI's commitment to Made in France. Founded in 1927,
the family business combines traditional know-how with industrial mastery, with a production
strongly rooted in France and labeled "Entreprise engagée pour la Nature" by the OFB 1 and
"Engagés et performants RSE" by the UIMM 2. The integration of LEC, whose registration will remain in Lyon, consolidates this approach while bringing complementary expertise in custom lighting solutions.
A SHARED VISION FOR MINDFUL & SUSTAINABLE LIGHTING
"We are delighted to welcome LEC to the GROUPE RAGNI. Their experience and commitment to sustainable solutions perfectly align with our vision of responsible public lighting, respectful of nocturnal biodiversity and human well-being," says Marcel RAGNI, grandson of the founder and
President of the GROUPE RAGNI.
"The union with LEC will enable us to offer even more diversified lighting solutions, tailored to the specific needs of our clients. Whether it's transport infrastructure, heritage enhancement, or urban development, we will continue to provide reasoned and high-quality lighting, in line with our CSR
