I designed Garbí as if it was a sculpture, removing material from an initial volume and gradually observing how the light slides over its surfaces,
accentuating the edges. I observed the sunlight in Valencia for hours and hours, shaping the surfaces and revealing the volumes.Then I attempted to transmit that sensation of balance, vitality and force in Garbí, a much smaller object made to light architectural interiors all over the world.

Ho progettato Garbí come fosse una scultura,
asportando materiale a un volume grezzo iniziale e osservando progressivamente come la luce scivolava sulle superfici e marcava gli spigoli. Ho osservato per ore la luce del sole di Valencia, modellare le superfici e definire i volumi. Ho poi cercato di riportare in Garbí, un oggetto infinitamente più piccolo e destinato ad illuminare gli spazi interni di architetture di tutto il mondo".

Ich habe Garbí wie eine Skulptur entworfen,
indem einem groben Anfangsvolumen Material entnommen wurde. Progressiv beobachtete ich,
wie das Licht an den Flächen abgleitet und die
Kanten markiert. Stundenlang habe ich das Licht der Sonne von Valencia beobachtet, um die Flächen zu modellieren und die Volumen. Schließlich habe ich versucht in Garbí, einem viel kleineren
Gegenstand zum Beleuchten von Innenräume der
Architektur auf der ganzen Welt, die Wahrnehmung von Gleichgewicht, Vitalität und Stärke zu erzeugen.
