Deceuninck announces initial successes in the reorganisation of its
European production and logistics sites
Agreement reached with employee representatives on the financial terms of the social plan for the Bogen and Hunderdorf sites (Bavaria, Germany)
In November 2023, Deceuninck informed the works council and all employees of the German companies in Bogen and Hunderdorf of its intention to discontinue all production activities in Bogen and all logistics activities in Hunderdorf (Bavaria, Germany). This restructuring plan affects over 230 employees. The company can now announce that discussions with employee representatives have led to an agreement on the financial terms of the social plan and the related support measures. The negotiations were conducted in a constructive atmosphere and will continue in the coming weeks with regard to the finalisation of the detailed arrangements.
Customers in Germany and worldwide, who are served from the Bogen and Hunderdorf sites, will not be affected. The sales, marketing, product and technical departments based in Germany will remain in place and the entire service will be ensured as part of an optimised European supply chain. Production activities from the Bogen plant will be transferred to other production sites within the Deceuninck Group.
The aim is to eliminate overcapacity and ensure long-term competitiveness. The operational plan for the full implementation of the new European production and logistics structure is currently being prepared.
