Compliance to REACH legislation 1907/2006/EU
According to REACH legislation Oras Group is classified as a downstream user and therefore not obliged to register its products.
Oras Group has evaluated the requirements of REACH legislation and state that we fulfil the obligation of the current REACH
regulation. We actively follow the SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) list published by the European Chemical Agency
(ECHA) and we will adapt our principles of chemical usage when needed.
However, the use of substances which meet the criteria of article 57 REACH regulation and which were determined in accordance with article 59 (1) of REACH regulation, is not always avoidable.
In the manufacturing process of chrome plated products, we use hexavalent chromium, but the finished product contains it less than 0,1 % of weight.
According to REACH Art.33 we have to inform about substances in a mass concentration of more than 0.1% in products:
Lead metal (CAS number 7439-92-1) is included in products made with brass components. Deviating products are specially marked.
1,2-dimethoxyethane, ethylene glycol dimethyl ether (EGDME) (CAS Number 110-71-4) is included in electronic products as a constituent in lithium batteries.
The safe use of the product is of course guaranteed. However, please note the instruction manual of the product or documents provided electronically.
Furthermore, we have no indication that the aforementioned substance would impair the safe use of the product for the intended purpose.
PAH (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons)
We herewith declare, that products of Oras Group brands, Oras and Hansa, do not contain substances with Polycyclic Aromatic
Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in accordance with Regulation EC 1272/2013.
RoHS
We furthermore declare, that products of Oras Group brands, Oras and Hansa, with electrical and electronical components are conform to the European Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS-II), including the amendment 2015/863 (RoHS 3)
